Mutual Aid Unburdening Space

Biweekly drop-in discussion space for QTBIPOC

👋🏾
This is a prospective group that I am looking to launch as of January 2025. Are you interested in participating in this group in-person in Tiohtià:ke (Montréal) and/or online? Join the mailing list below for updates.

About

Join me in creating a recurring mutual aid space specifically created for QTBIPOC (Queer, Trans, Black, Indigenous, People of Color) community members to connect, share, and unburden. Rooted in mutual care and solidarity, this gathering is designed to hold space for our unique experiences in an oppressive sorld. Whether you’re carrying the weight of systemic violence, interpersonal challenges, or the exhaustion of living at the intersections of multiple identities, this is a space where your voice is welcomed, your grief is honoured, and your healing is communal.

What to Expect

  • Community Grounding: Each session begins with a grounding activity to help us center and arrive in the space.
  • Sharing Circle: Participants are invited (but never required) to share what’s on their hearts and minds.
  • Resource Exchange: Mutual aid isn’t just about money—bring and share what you can, whether that’s knowledge, resources, or simply the gift of listening.
  • Action-Oriented Solidarity: We’ll close each session brainstorming small, concrete steps toward individual and collective care and advocacy.

Who Can Attend

Participation in this circle is reserved for QTBIPOC community members. To honour and respect the space, we ask that allies support from outside by sharing this event with those it’s meant for. This is a trauma-informed and non-judgmental space. Confidentiality is expected and required.

Come as you are, leave feeling seen and supported. Together, we unburden.
